Richard R. Silver Memorial Scholarship Application

supporting exemplary Hispanic youth with outstanding academic achievement in their pursuit of higher education.

Two scholarships of $2,500 each will be awarded to pay in this order: tuition, books, room and board, and other college-related expenses. Funds will be disbursed following the reporting and recognition of the winners selected.

Applicant requirements: Must be under 25 to apply and a resident of Oregon and of Latin descent as either an immigrant, child of immigrants or a DREAMER.

Submission Requirements: one letter of recommendation, one reference, most recent academic transcripts, and a personal essay of 1,000 words or less that references your academic accomplishments, awards/accolades, and/or community service and any obstacles - especially obstacles related to immigration - that you might have had to overcome to achieve them.

 Application submissions are due by may 31, 2025 by 11:59PM PST.

Scholarship awardees will be contacted directly by June 30th.
