A native Oregonian who resided as a child east of the Cascade Mountain range in Bend, Oregon, Jamie now considers Portland home. After studying French and Anthropology at the University of Oregon, she has spent her post-graduation years travelling through Europe, the United States and South America. In Portland and abroad she has spent time working in the realms of community development, food and beverage service and marketing. Her relationship with Hacienda CDC first began in the summer of 2012 when she began as an intern focused on sustainability and marketing initiatives which has since developed into a communications and marketing role within Micro Mercantes' business incubator. She enjoys volunteer work, riding her bicycle, playing sports, cooking food and travel. Her favorite thing to think about is how to reduce waste, access healthy food and live a simple life. She is looking forward to becoming a recycling master, exploring educational growth as a student at PCC/PSU and being involved in farmers market operations!
