Community Economic Development

Who we are:

We believe entrepreneurship empowers immigrants and their families through growth in assets, income and a sense of achievement.

Our culturally-specific Microenterprise Program incubates businesses by providing microenterprise training, access to capital and selling opportunties, affordable commercial kitchen rental and, in the future, retail space at the Portland Mercado. We serve low income microentrepreneurs at any stage of business development - from a viable idea to an established entity. The majority of our clients are Latinos from the Portland Metro Area and from underserved communities.

Vendors at the Mercado will have the opportunity to foster their leadership skills by taking part in the market’s decision making process and will have access to affordable retail space.
