New year brings new homeowners

In good news for prospective homeowners, “buying a house is attractive again,” according to NPR. However, no matter how attractive the cost, homeownership is not to be taken lightly.

Tonight, Hacienda CDC welcomes those ready to make the leap towards homeownership to a free, HUD-certified ABCs of Home Buying course. Participants can expect to learn how to purchase and preserve their first home, as well as develop a personalized savings plan and budget.

This is a two-part course that typically takes place on the first and second Tuesday of each month from 6-9 pm. However, this month the course will be on January 10 and 17.
