community coordinator - Portland mercado Closes: 02/26/17
Join Team Hacienda! We are recruiting a unique individual who will be responsible for creating an engaged, active community among the Portland Mercado tenants. The Community Coordinator (CC) takes the lead in assisting tenants organize themselves as a unified tenant group, holding regular structured meetings. This position will guide the tenant group on issues such as voting, organizing and implementation strategies which will improve the Portland Mercado. Activities include: community and private events hosted at the market, marketing through social and traditional media, and structural aesthetic projects (ex. mural) that improve the market. We are looking for someone that holds exceptional organizational skills both in project management and bringing people together towards a common goal. The person selected for this position will be enthusiastic about creating a place for community, will communicate effectively, and will have the capacity to work effectively across cultures.

The Executive Director is a strategic and visionary leader who provides leadership in formulating and implementing Hacienda’s mission, vision, values, strategies and programs. Key areas of responsibility are: strategic planning, resource development, partnership development and fundraising; managing and evaluating programs; shaping an inclusive, diverse, healthy and equitable organizational culture; developing and maintaining positive external relationships; managing finances; managing HR; supporting the Board of Directors; and handling administration, legal and contract compliance.

This is a senior level position with leadership responsibility for all the housing development, mixed-used projects and neighborhood revitalization development activities for the organization. The Housing Developer coordinates and implements all activities relating to project development from feasibility analysis through completion of construction and coordinates and integrate development processes with asset management staff for funding compliance and optimum portfolio performance.
