Community Economic Development
Hacienda's Economic Development programs integrate affordable housing with asset-building and educational opportunities to promote sustainable livlihoods. This innovative model works to stablize families by helping them gain the tools they need for self-sufficiency. Hacienda's core Economic Development programs include:

Adult Education: Hacienda CDC partners with Mexico's National Institute for Adult Education (INEA) to provide an adult education curriculum for Mexican and Latino youth and adults. Plazas Comunitarias are places where students can gain Spanish literacy skills, complete their primary and secondary education certificates, learn English, prepare for GED, and improve computer literacy skills. + more
Homeownership:
Camino a Casa: First-time home buyers are guided through the home buying process from start to finish. Participants attend home buyer education classes, financial literacy classes, and work with a bilingual coach throughout the buying process.
