New Board Member - 6/4/2008

Hacienda is pleased to announce our newest Board member, Commander James Ferraris of the Portland Police NE Precinct. He brings over 30 years of law enforcement experience to our board and a diverse background in community involvement. Commander Ferraris served as the Chief’s liaison to the Arab-Muslim Police Advisory Council and the PPB Sexual Minorities Roundtable.  He currently serves the community as an executive board member for both the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) board and the Oregon Partnership, a drug prevention and education group. Commander Ferraris also serves as Chief Rosie Sizer’s designee on the National Policy Board for the nationally known Gang Resistance Education and Training (GREAT) program, serving as Chair for four years. Outside of the Bureau, Ferraris served as Chair of the Central Catholic High School Advisory Council for four years.
