Plaza Los Robles - 3/27/2008

Now the City of Molalla has a new multifamily project for farm workers and their families looking for an affordable and decent place to live. Lease-up on the project is nearing completion and famlies that have moved in have expressed their admiration about the type of service Hacienda CDC and its partners had been delivering to them.

So far Hacienda CDC conducted two meetings for residents in its mission of creating a vibrant community -- comunidad viva -- of resident involvement. Classes will include health care, disease prevention, how to use the green features in their home for reduced utility bills and a healthy indoor air environment for their families and how to respect the wetlands and bioswales located througout the property. Expresiones, an after-school program for children is just one of the programs Hacienda will bring to the residents beginning this Spring.
